Thank you Rep. Diamond for your leadership by working to abolish the immoral, discriminatory property tax. One statistic I read of was over 20,000 homes per year seized by the state of Pennsylvania due to tax liens when families were unable to pay their taxes. These are real mothers and fathers trying to provide a loving and peaceful home for their children but just falling short maybe for a few months in their taxes. They must then watch with great grief having their livelihood ripped from their hands by the state enforcers. This is unconscionable and makes one question how free we truly are in this country.

We bought this property ( 23 Acres) in 1990, built an access road, cut trees and milled them, built our house, and now the property taxes have made it veey difficult to live out our years here. We are being punished for the years of labor and improvement of the land.

I hated hitting the "like" button here, but your short testimonial is a near-perfect example of the frustrations many property owners feel under this horrific tax system!

Taxation is theft!!! I agree, same with social security. Taxing the tax that I paid my entire life!

There is a good reason why the property/land tax has endured for so long. It is because this tax pays for the fundamental functions of government, especially police power. It is the police power of the government that prevents the theives from taking your land away from you for their private enjoyment. Without protection of your rights to own and enjoy private property, you are subject to the law of "might makes right." Or would you rather be subject to laws created by a constitution and a police state created to enforce those laws? Property taxes pay for both.
