On this Good Friday, I just wanted to drop you a quick note to wish you peace and harmony in the same spirit that William Penn had when he put religious freedom at the forefront of the founding of Pennsylvania.
I also wanted to say that while has God offered us all forgiveness and everlasting life through Christ’s sacrifice on the cross, we should make the effort to forgive ourselves as well. Do not let what has happened in the past bog you down; you are worthy of redemption.
To help you set a peaceful frame of mind for this, the Holiest weekend for Christians, I invite you to listen to this beautiful rendition of my song Pennsylvania! (The Keystone of My Heart) as arranged by Sam Barge and performed recently by members of the Berks Youth Chorus and Vox Philia.
To those readers of other faiths, I extend to you an offer of friendship, respect, and dignity in pursuit of William Penn’s vision of religious freedom and tolerance.
Be well.
